Emergency roof repairs in Boston
Storm damage or a leak in Boston or the villages? Ring 01406 704369, answered day or night.
There is nothing between Boston and the North Sea to slow the wind down, which is why the emergency calls here cluster around the same few nights of the year. We cover Boston and the fen villages, PE21 and PE22, and the phone is answered day or night. If nobody picks up we are on a roof: leave a message and you will get a call back.
Wind damage, and what it takes first
A gale off the wash goes for the exposed edges before anything else. Verge tiles on a gable end, ridge tiles whose mortar had already cracked, and any pantile that had started to sit proud of its neighbour. Once one goes it takes the next with it, and the gap left behind lets rain straight onto felt that was never meant to be the outer layer.
Made safe, then put right
The first visit stops the water and makes the roof safe, which in bad weather may mean a temporary cover rather than a finished repair. The lasting work happens once the roof is dry enough to do it properly. We will tell you plainly which of the two we are doing on the day rather than dress a hold-together up as a fix.
We work here already
Boston is not a town we are guessing about. There is a full re-roof at Wyberton and a rebuilt pantile roof at Swineshead on our work pages, both photographed from the old roof through to the finished one. You can look at the work before you ring.
When you call
Tell us what you can see from the ground: water coming through, tiles in the garden, a ridge line that has gone wrong. We come out, photograph what we find, explain it in plain words and put a price in writing. No pressure and no upselling while your house is leaking. Every emergency repair carries the same five or ten year guarantee as our largest jobs, and we hold public liability and employer's liability insurance.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Emergency Roof Repairs in Boston: common questions
Do you cover the villages as well as Boston itself?
Yes, PE21 in the town and PE22 around it. Both of our completed jobs near Boston are village jobs, at Wyberton and Swineshead, so being outside the town is no bar at all.
Why does the wind here take ridge tiles specifically?
Because they sit at the highest, most exposed line on the roof and they are usually held down by mortar that has already cracked. Once water and frost have been into that crack, a strong gust is all it takes.
What do I do while I wait for you?
Get anything valuable out from under the drip, catch what you can, and stay off the roof and off ladders while it is still blowing. Tell us what you can see from the ground and leave the rest to us.
Will I be charged for the call-out?
The visit, the photographs and the written quote are free. You know what the repair costs before it starts, and the price quoted is the price paid.
