Roofing in Newark
EverCrest Property Care Ltd covers Newark and the villages around it. Tell us what needs doing and we will come and look at it.
Newark-on-Trent sits where the Great North Road crosses the river, and it has the roofs of a town that has been busy for a very long time: castle ruins, a market square, Georgian brick and a great deal of clay pantile. We cover the town and the villages around it, NG22, NG23 and NG24.
Pantiles, brick and the newer edges
Newark's older streets carry pantile and slate over brick, and both reward being repaired properly rather than sealed over. Pantiles slip; that is simply what they do after a few decades, and one out of line is enough to let water track down into the felt. The Georgian frontages around the market place tend to have parapets, valleys and lead that need genuine lead work rather than a tube of mastic. Out on the newer estates the roofs are concrete interlocking tile, and the things that go there are predictable and cheap to fix if caught: verge mortar, ridge, gutters, and felt that has perished at the eaves.
What we do in Newark
Everything from a single slipped tile to a full re-roof. Repairs and leak tracing, chimney repairs and rebuilds, lead flashing renewed from soakers through to back gutters, dry ridge and dry verge systems, fascias, soffits and guttering, flat roofs in EPDM or torch-on felt, moss removal and roof inspections. We also strip out spray foam and blown cavity wall insulation, which is specialist work and not something every roofer will take on.
Working with us in Newark
We are based in Spalding and Newark is ground we cover, so judge us on the record that travels rather than on a local reputation we have not built yet: a 5.0 rating from customers across Google, Checkatrade, MyBuilder and Bark. Ring 01406 704369 or send the form, we call back and arrange a visit, and we photograph the roof so both of us are looking at the same evidence. The written quote is free and the price on it is the price you pay. Minimum five-year guarantee, insured throughout.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Roofing in Newark: your questions
Is Newark not a long way from Spalding?
It is a run, and we are honest about that: Newark is a town we were asked to cover and we cover it properly or not at all. You get the same free written quote, the same photographs and the same minimum five-year guarantee as anyone nearer our base.
Do you cover the villages around Newark?
Yes, NG22 and NG23 as well as NG24 in the town. A single repair in a village is booked the same way as a re-roof in Newark itself.
My pantiles keep slipping. Is that a re-roof?
Not necessarily. If the battens and felt underneath are sound, slipped pantiles are a repair. If they are going faster every winter that usually means the fixings or the felt have gone, and we will show you photographs of which it is before you decide anything.
Do you really remove spray foam?
We do. It is dirty, slow work and it is one of the reasons people struggle to sell or remortgage a house, so it is worth having done properly. We will look at what is up there and tell you honestly what removing it involves.
