Emergency roof repairs in Crowland
Storm damage made safe day or night. Ring 01406 704369, and if we don't answer we're on a roof: leave a message and we'll call you straight back.
Crowland gets the weather before most places do. There is open fen on every side and nothing to break a gale before it reaches your roof, so a bad night here does more damage than the same night does in a sheltered town. If something has gone, ring 01406 704369 whatever the hour.
What a fen gale usually takes
- Ridge tiles lifted off the apex, or left sitting loose
- Verge tiles peeled back along the gable end
- Tiles stripped from the exposed slope while the other side is untouched
- Lead flashing rolled back off a chimney
- Whole sheets off a garage or outbuilding roof
Loose ridge tiles are the one to ring about even if nothing is leaking yet. A ridge tile that has broken its mortar bond is a heavy object sitting above a path or a car with nothing holding it down, and the next gust is what moves it.
Made safe tonight, repaired properly after
The first job is stopping water getting in and taking down anything that could fall. We photograph what we find so you can see it yourself, then explain what the roof needs and put the repair in writing before it goes ahead. If the weather is still bad, a temporary cover that holds until it passes is the right answer, and we will say so rather than start a job that cannot be finished properly.
The same cover as any other job

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Emergency Roof Repairs in Crowland: common questions
A ridge tile is loose but nothing is leaking. Is that urgent?
Treat it as urgent. It is not about water, it is about weight: a ridge tile that has lost its mortar has nothing holding it on, and out here the next gust is rarely far off. Ring and we will tell you honestly how it looks.
Is the phone really answered at night?
Yes, day and night. If nobody picks up we are up a roof, so leave a message and you will get a call straight back.
Can you get out onto the fen roads in bad weather?
Usually, and we will tell you plainly on the phone if we cannot get to you safely yet rather than leave you waiting. Making the roof safe is the first visit; the repair follows when it can be done properly.
Will I get a price before the repair?
Yes. Making safe comes first, then photographs of the damage and a written quote for the permanent repair. The price quoted is the price paid.
