Terms & conditions
The terms on which we provide quotes and carry out work.
These terms set out the basis on which we provide quotes and carry out work. By asking us to quote for or carry out work, you agree to these terms.
Quotes
Quotes are free and given in good faith based on the information available and, where relevant, a site visit. A quote is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. If the work required changes, or conditions are found that could not reasonably have been seen at the time of quoting, we will discuss any change in price with you before carrying on.
Booking and access
Once you accept a quote we will agree a start date. You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area, along with water and power where needed. Delays caused by lack of access may affect the timescale and cost.
Payment
Payment is due as set out on your quote or invoice. For larger jobs we may ask for a deposit or staged payments. Invoices are payable by the date shown. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts.
Variations
Any additional work you ask for that is not in the original quote will be priced separately and agreed with you before it is carried out.
Guarantee and liability
We take pride in our workmanship and will put right any defect in our work that is reported to us within any guarantee period stated on your quote. This does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by others, or issues arising from the existing structure or materials outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
Insurance
We hold appropriate insurance for the work we carry out. Details are available on request.
Your 14 day right to cancel
Where we agree the work at your home, or over the phone or by email rather than at our own premises, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. The 14 days run from the day we agree the work. You do not have to give a reason. To cancel, just tell us in writing, by email or by post, before the 14 days are up, and we will refund anything you have paid.
If you want us to start sooner than that, we will ask you to confirm in writing that you are happy for us to begin inside the 14 days. You keep your right to cancel either way. If you do cancel after we have started, you pay for the work already done and for any materials already bought for your job, and nothing more. Once the job is finished at your request, the 14 day right no longer applies.
Cancelling after that
If you need to cancel or postpone booked work outside the 14 days, please give us as much notice as you can. Where we have already incurred costs (for example materials ordered specifically for your job) these may be chargeable.
