Roofing in Peterborough
EverCrest Property Care Ltd covers Peterborough and the villages around it. Tell us what needs doing and we will come and look at it.
Peterborough is the biggest place we cover and the one with the widest mix of roofs in it. We are Spalding based, the A16 runs us straight down, and we work right across the city: PE1 in the centre, PE2 over the Ortons, PE3 and PE4, and out through PE6 and PE7 to the villages.
A city of very different roofs
Peterborough grew in bursts, and you can read every one of them off the rooftops. The Victorian terraces around Millfield and New England carry slate and shared chimney stacks, where lead work has to be done properly because there is a neighbour on the other side of it. The New Town estates built out at the Ortons and Bretton from the seventies brought concrete interlocking tiles and dry verges by the thousand, and those roofs are now old enough that felt, verges and ridge mortar are all coming due together. Then there are the flat-roofed extensions and dormers on almost every street, which are the single most common thing we get called to in the city.
Flat roofs, which is what Peterborough rings about
More people in Peterborough search for flat roof help than for anything else we do, and it matches what we see. A flat roof that was felted twenty years ago is at the end of its life whether or not it has started leaking yet. We strip them back, replace the deck where the boards have gone soft, and re-cover in EPDM rubber or torch-on felt depending on the roof. There is a job in our portfolio where a fibreglass flat roof was taken back to new boarding and finished in EPDM, alongside the pitched roof beside it, and that is the same work we bring into Peterborough.

Ring 01406 704369 or send the form and we ring back. We come out, get up on the roof and photograph what is actually there, so you are looking at the same evidence we are instead of taking our word for it. You get a plain explanation and a free written quote, and the price on the quote is the price you pay. Every job carries a minimum five-year guarantee and is covered by public liability and employer's liability insurance. We are newer to Peterborough than to our home patch, and we intend to earn the same 5.0 rating here that customers have already given us on Google, Checkatrade, MyBuilder and Bark.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Roofing in Peterborough: your questions
You are based in Spalding. Is Peterborough really on your patch?
Yes. Peterborough is about half an hour down the A16 and it is one of the towns we were specifically asked to cover, not somewhere we stray into. We work across PE1 to PE4 and out through PE6 and PE7.
Do you cover the Ortons, Bretton and the newer estates?
We do, and those roofs are a big part of why we are here. The New Town estates went up close together, so their felt, verges and ridges are reaching the same age at the same time. That is ordinary, fixable work and we do a lot of it.
My flat roof is leaking. Can it be patched or does it need replacing?
Sometimes a patch is honest and sometimes it just moves the problem along. We will tell you which, with photographs, and we will say so plainly if replacing it is the cheaper answer over any sensible length of time.
What will it cost?
No two roofs price the same and we will not guess a figure down the phone. The visit, the photographs and the written quote are all free, and whatever number that quote carries is the number you pay.
