Roof repairs in Boston
Slipped pantiles, leaks and failed lead put right across PE21 and PE22, with photographs and a written price.
Most roof repairs in Boston start the same way: one tile out of line on an exposed slope, and a year later a stain on a bedroom ceiling. We repair roofs across the town and the fen villages, from a single tile to a whole elevation.
Pantiles and what they do
A great deal of Boston's older brick housing carries clay pantile, and pantiles are honest things. They sit happily for decades, then a windy night lifts one out of its neighbour's lap and the water finds the gap. Caught early that is a fast, cheap repair. Left alone it soaks the felt and battens underneath, and then it is not.
Tracing the leak properly
Water almost never comes in where the stain shows. It runs along a batten and down a rafter and drops where it likes, so a repair aimed at the stain treats the wrong end of the problem. We work back to the actual entry point, lifting tiles to look where we need to, and we photograph what is underneath so you can see it too.
Matching an older roof
Where a tile has been out of production for years we have sourced matched replacements from a salvage yard rather than fit the nearest modern equivalent, because a bright patch in the middle of a weathered roof is not really a repair. On the Swineshead cottage the old pantiles had reached the end and the roof was rebuilt instead, which is the other honest answer when it is the right one.
How it works
Ring 01406 704369 or send the form and we call back. We get up, look properly, photograph what we find and explain what the roof needs and what it does not. The written quote is free and the price on it is the price you pay. Repairs carry the same five or ten year guarantee as a re-roof, and our customers have rated us 5.0 across Google, Checkatrade, MyBuilder and Bark.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Roof Repairs in Boston: common questions
My pantiles keep slipping. Is that a re-roof?
Not necessarily. If the battens and felt underneath are sound it is a repair. If it is happening faster every winter that usually means the fixings or the felt have gone, and we will show you photographs of which it is before you decide.
Can you match old pantiles?
Usually. Where a tile is long out of production we have found matched replacements at salvage before now, so the repair settles in with the rest of the roof rather than announcing itself.
Have you actually worked around Boston?
Yes. There is a full re-roof at Wyberton and a rebuilt roof at Swineshead on our work pages, both photographed before, during and after.
How soon can you look at it?
Ring 01406 704369 and we will give you an honest answer rather than a flattering one. If it is an emergency the phone is answered day or night.
