Roof repairs in Bourne
Slipped tiles, leaks and failed flashing put right, with photographs of what we find and a free written quote before any work starts.
Roof repairs almost always start small. A tile spotted out of line from the garden, a damp mark on a bedroom ceiling that appears after heavy rain, a strip of lead that has lifted at the chimney. Caught early they stay small and cheap. Left alone, water gets into the felt and the timber and a tile job becomes a ceiling job.
Three kinds of roof in one town
Bourne asks for different repairs street by street. The stone and pantile around the Abbey Church and the older centre wants materials matched to what is up there already, and we have tracked discontinued tiles down through salvage yards before rather than finish a repair that announces itself from the pavement. The brick terraces carry slate and shared stacks, where the flashing and the neighbour's half of the chimney matter as much as your own tiles. On the newer estates north and east of town the trouble is usually younger: cracked tiles, verges letting go, and felt that has started to perish at the eaves.
What we put right
- Slipped, cracked and broken tiles and slates
- Leaks traced back to the source rather than the stain
- Lead flashing renewed at chimneys, valleys and abutments
- Ridge and verge mortar re-bedded, or replaced with a dry system
- Felt and batten repairs where the damage has gone past the surface
You see the roof before you decide
Nobody can inspect their own roof, so we bring it down to you in photographs. We show you what we found, separate what needs doing now from what can wait a season, and put a free quote in writing. If your roof needs a repair rather than the re-roof someone else has suggested, we will say so. The work is guaranteed for five or ten years depending on the job and insured throughout.
- Free written quotes

- Five or ten year guarantee on every repair
- Fully insured, public and employer's liability

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Roof Repairs in Bourne: common questions
Can you match the pantiles on an older Bourne house?
Usually, yes. Matching is the whole point of a repair on an older roof, and where a tile is long out of production we will look for a salvage match rather than put a modern tile in the middle of an old roof.
How much is a roof repair going to be?
It depends entirely on what is up there, which is why we look for free instead of guessing on the phone. You get a written quote, and the price quoted is the price you pay.
How do I know I actually need the work?
Because you will have seen it. We photograph what we find and go through the pictures with you, and we will tell you plainly when something can wait rather than book it in.
Do you do small jobs, or only full roofs?
Small jobs very much included. A single slipped tile in Bourne is worth the trip, and catching one is a good deal cheaper for you than the ceiling repair that follows if it is left.
