Roof repairs in Holbeach
Slipped pantiles, leaks and worn lead flashing put right, with the problem photographed so you can see it too.
Clay pantiles cover a good share of the older roofs in Holbeach, and pantiles fail in their own particular way. They slip, they crack, and the mortar at ridge and verge washes out long before the tiles themselves give up. We put all of that right, along with slate, concrete tile and the lead flashing that keeps the joints of a roof dry.
The repairs we are called to most
- Slipped, cracked or missing tiles
- Leaks traced back to their real cause, not just the wet patch
- Lead flashing renewed around chimneys and abutments
- Ridge and verge mortar that has cracked or fallen away
Matching tiles on older roofs
The quickest way to spoil an old cottage roof is to patch it with the wrong tile. When the original has been discontinued we have gone to a salvage yard to track down the right one, so the repair blends into the rest of the roof instead of standing out from the street. On the brick cottages around Holbeach that matters, because these are roofs people actually look at.
You see what we see
Every repair starts the same way. You ring 01406 704369 or send the form, we call you back and come out for a look. We photograph what we find up there so you can see the problem for yourself, we explain what it needs in plain terms, and you get the price in writing before anything starts. Customers tell us, without being asked, that the price quoted was the price they paid.
Lead work included
A leak near a chimney is very often the lead or the mortar rather than the tiles. We renew soakers, step flashing, aprons and back gutters as part of everyday repair work, so the fix deals with the actual fault rather than covering it over.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.

Roof Repairs in Holbeach: common questions
Can you match the clay pantiles on an older Holbeach cottage?
Usually, yes. Where a tile has been discontinued we have sourced the right match from a salvage yard so the repair blends in with the rest of the roof. We would rather hunt down the proper tile than patch in something that nearly fits.
How much will my roof repair cost?
We cannot give an honest figure without seeing the roof, because no two repairs are the same. The look and the quote cost you nothing, the price comes in writing, and what we quote is what you pay.
Is it worth repairing, or am I throwing money at a roof that needs replacing?
We will tell you straight. We photograph what we find so you can judge the condition for yourself, and if a repair will genuinely sort it, a repair is what we will recommend. There is no upselling here.
Do you fix leaks around chimneys and flashings?
Yes. Renewing soakers, step flashing, aprons and back gutters is part of our everyday repair work, and a leak near a chimney is very often the lead rather than the tiles.
