Fascias, soffits and guttering in Peterborough
New fascias, soffits, gutters and downpipes fitted across PE1 to PE7, with the roof edge put right underneath.
Guttering is the cheapest thing on a house to put right and one of the most expensive to ignore. Water running down a wall for a couple of winters will do more damage than the gutter would ever have cost. We fit fascias, soffits, gutters and downpipes across Peterborough.
What usually goes wrong
Gutters block, sag on tired brackets, or come apart at a joint and drip in one spot until the brickwork below goes green and soft. Fascias behind them rot where the felt was cut short and rain has run onto the timber for years. Soffits go the same way, and once they do, birds and squirrels find the gap. None of it is dramatic and all of it is progressive.
Doing the edge properly, not just the plastic
Anyone can screw new fascia over old rot. We take the old boards off, look at the rafter feet and the felt behind them, and put right what we find before the new boards go on. Where the roofing felt has perished at the eaves we fit a felt support tray so water runs into the gutter instead of behind it. That detail is invisible from the ground and it is the difference between a job that lasts and a job that looks good for two years.
Deep flow where it is needed
A long roof slope or a steep pitch throws more water at the gutter than a standard half round can carry in a downpour, and it overshoots exactly when you most need it not to. A deep flow system holds considerably more. We fitted one across a full re-roof along with new fascias and soffits, and it is the right answer on plenty of Peterborough houses.
Booking it with other work
If you are having the roof done, this is the moment: the scaffold is already up and paid for, and doing it later means hiring it twice. If the roof is fine, we work off ladders or a tower and it is a quick job. Written quote free, price quoted is the price paid, five or ten year guarantee.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Fascias, Soffits & Guttering in Peterborough: common questions
Can you just clear my gutters?
Yes, and sometimes that is genuinely all that is wrong. We will tell you if the gutter is sound and simply full, rather than turning a clearance into a replacement.
How do I know if the fascia behind is rotten?
Usually you cannot from the ground, which is why we look before quoting. Flaking paint, a sagging gutter line or green staining down the wall are the signs worth a call.
What is a felt support tray and do I need one?
It is a strip that carries the bottom edge of the roofing felt out over the gutter. If the felt at your eaves has perished and curled back, water is running behind the gutter instead of into it, and a tray fixes that at the root.
Do you match existing guttering?
Where you want the run to stay consistent, yes. Where the existing system is undersized for the roof we will say so and explain what deep flow would change.
