Roof repairs in Peterborough
Slipped tiles, leaks and failed lead put right across PE1 to PE7, photographed and quoted in writing.
A slipped tile lets water in long before a ceiling shows anything. We are roofers covering Peterborough for repairs of every size, from one tile to a whole elevation, and you get photographs of what is actually wrong along with a written price before anything starts.
Finding where the water really gets in
The stain on a ceiling is almost never under the hole. Water runs along a batten, down a rafter and drops where it likes, so a repair that treats the stain treats the wrong thing. We trace it back to the source, and if that means lifting tiles to look underneath rather than guessing from the ground, that is what we do.
Terraces, estates and everything between
Peterborough grew in bursts and the repairs follow. Slate terraces around Millfield and New England need slates refixed properly and lead renewed at shared stacks, which has to be right because the other half of that chimney belongs to a neighbour. The seventies estates at the Ortons and Bretton carry concrete interlocking tile, where the usual culprits are perished felt at the eaves, cracked verge mortar and ridge that has started to lift. Older Fletton brick properties nearer the centre often have clay pantile, and a pantile out of line is a fast, cheap fix if it is caught.
Matching what is already up there
A repair that shouts is not really a repair. Where a tile has been discontinued we have tracked down matched replacements from a salvage yard before now, because the alternative is a bright patch that tells everyone the roof has been mended. We would rather find the right tile than fit the nearest one.
How a repair runs
Ring 01406 704369 or send the form and we call you back. We look at the roof, photograph it, explain in plain words what it needs and what it does not, and put a price in writing. The price quoted is the price paid. Repairs carry the same five or ten year guarantee as our biggest jobs. We are new to Peterborough and intend to earn the 5.0 rating here that customers have already given us on Google, Checkatrade, MyBuilder and Bark.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Roof Repairs in Peterborough: common questions
Can one slipped tile really matter?
Yes, because the felt underneath is the last line of defence and it is not meant to be the first. Water getting past a single tile sits on felt that was never designed for standing water, and once that goes the repair stops being a small one.
How do you find a leak you cannot see?
By working back from where the water lands to where it enters, which usually means getting up and lifting a few tiles rather than guessing. We photograph what we find so you can see the actual entry point, not just our word for it.
Do you cover the Ortons, Bretton and Werrington?
We do, along with the rest of PE1 to PE7. Those estate roofs are all a similar age now, so we see the same handful of faults on them again and again, which makes them quick to diagnose.
Is it worth repairing or should I re-roof?
That depends on what the battens and felt look like, not on the tiles you can see. We will show you photographs and give you an honest answer, including when the honest answer is that a repair will do for years yet.
