Roof cleaning and moss removal in Spalding
Moss stripped and roofs cleaned down, with the process explained step by step before you say yes to anything.
Moss holds water. A mossy roof stays damp long after the rain has stopped, and the lumps that slide off end up blocking the gutters and downpipes below. We strip moss and clean roofs down across Spalding, so the tiles can get back to shedding water instead of wearing a green overcoat.
The process, explained before you commit
Every roof gets looked at before it gets quoted. On our moss removal visits we explain the process step by step at the quote stage, because a roof cleaned carelessly can end up worse off than a roof left mossy. You will know exactly what we plan to do, how we will do it and what it will cost, in writing, before anything starts. The price quoted is the price paid.
Moss is not fussy about the house
Spalding gives moss plenty to work with: it settles in just as happily on the interwar and postwar bungalow estates as on the Victorian terraces near the town centre. Wherever it has taken hold, the treatment is the same: a proper look first, then the roof stripped and cleaned down, not a quick skim over the worst of it.
What we look for while we are up there
Moss is very good at hiding problems. Slipped tiles, cracked ridge mortar and tired flashings all show themselves once the covering of green comes off, and we photograph anything we find so you can see it too. There is no upselling on the back of it: if the roof under the moss is sound, we tell you it is sound and leave it at that.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal in Spalding: common questions
What do you charge for moss removal in Spalding?
It depends on the size of the roof and how established the moss is, so we quote each roof individually. The visit is free, we explain the whole process step by step while we are there, and the price goes in writing. What we quote is what you pay.
Could clearing the moss damage the tiles on my Spalding roof?
Done carelessly, it can, which is exactly why we look at the roof first and explain how we will clean your particular roof before we quote for it. The method suits the roof, not the other way round.
Will the moss come back?
Moss will always try to return to a roof that stays damp and shaded; anyone who promises otherwise is selling you something. What we will give you is an honest view of your own roof once we have seen it, rather than a claim made from a website.
