Re-roofing and new roofs in Spalding
Full re-roofs and new roofs, tiled and slate, built with materials that last and guaranteed for 25 years.
There comes a point where patching an old roof stops making sense, and an honest roofer will tell you when you have reached it. When repairs start chasing each other across the slopes, a full re-roof is often the better spend, and it is a job we see through from the first look to the final sign-off.
Tiled and slate re-roofs
We re-roof in tile and in slate, on everything from the Victorian terraces near Spalding town centre to the interwar and postwar bungalows that make up so much of the town. A new roof should suit the house it sits on, so we talk the materials through with you before anything is ordered, and you see photographs of what we found under the old covering as the job goes on.
What goes into one of our roofs
On a recent full re-roof we stripped the old covering back and rebuilt with Proctor Air breathable membrane, treated battens and anthracite interlocking tiles, with the ridge and hips dry-fixed rather than mortared. The chimney got new lead soakers, step flashing, an apron and a back gutter, and new guttering and downpipes finished the job. Those are the materials we use because they last.
Checked by someone who does not work for us
On one full re-roof, an independent Building Control inspector from Boston Borough Council checked the work twice and signed it off. We would rather invite that kind of scrutiny than avoid it, and it is why every roof we build carries a 25 year guarantee, backed by public liability and employer's liability insurance on every job.
How the job runs
You ring or send the form and we call you back. We come out, look at the roof, photograph what we find and show you the pictures. You get a price in writing, and the price quoted is the price paid. Then you are told when the scaffolding, skip and materials will arrive, so a re-roof in Spalding starts on a date you knew about, not with a lorry appearing outside. Being based in Spalding, we are never far from the job either.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Re-Roofing & New Roofs in Spalding: common questions
What does a new roof cost in Spalding?
There is no single answer, and anyone who gives you one without seeing the roof is guessing. Size, pitch, materials and the state of the timbers underneath all move the figure. We look for free, quote in writing, and the price quoted is the price you pay, with no surprises bolted on later.
Will the scaffolding be a problem on a terraced street?
It needs planning, which is why we plan it. Access is worked out when we quote, and before anything starts you are told when the scaffolding, skip and materials will arrive, so you and your neighbours know what is happening and when.
Can you re-roof in slate to suit an older house?
Yes. We work in both tile and slate, and we will talk through what suits the age and style of your house before anything is ordered rather than pushing one product on every roof.
How long is a new roof guaranteed for?
a 25 years, in writing, on every roof we build. One of our full re-roofs was also checked twice by an independent Building Control inspector from Boston Borough Council and signed off, which is the kind of checking we welcome.
