Emergency roof repairs in Scunthorpe
Leaks and storm damage made safe day or night across DN15, DN16 and DN17. Ring 01406 704369 and leave a message if we don't answer: we'll call straight back.
If water is coming in, ring 01406 704369 whatever the hour. On the estates the same wind tends to find the same weakness on a lot of houses at once, so a bad night here is rarely one roof.
What we come out for
- Tiles lifted or brought down, particularly along ridges and verges
- Water through a ceiling or down a chimney breast
- Ridge tiles loose above a path, a drive or a car
- Flashing peeled back from a stack
- Garage and outbuilding roofs opened up by wind
Concrete interlocking tiles are heavy, and one that has lost its fixing and is sitting loose on a roof edge is worth ringing about even if nothing is leaking. Weight is the risk, not water.
Safe tonight, priced properly afterwards
We stop the water and take down or secure anything that could fall, then photograph what we found and go through it with you. The permanent repair is quoted in writing afterwards, and if the tiles are at the stage where they are breaking as they are handled, we will tell you that rather than keep replacing them one at a time.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.

Emergency Roof Repairs in Scunthorpe: common questions
A ridge tile is loose but there is no leak. Should I ring?
Yes. A concrete ridge tile is heavy and there is nothing holding it once the mortar has gone. It is a safety job before it is a roofing one.
Is the phone answered at night?
Day and night. If nobody picks up we are up a roof, so leave a message and you will get a call back.
The tiles crack when anyone walks on them. Is that normal?
It is a sign the concrete has gone brittle with age, which is common on roofs of this era. It changes how the repair is done and it is worth knowing about the rest of the roof.
Will I get a written price?
Yes, after the roof is made safe. Photographs first, then a written quote, and the price quoted is the price paid.
