Emergency roof repairs in Lincoln

Leaks and storm damage made safe day or night across LN1 to LN6. Ring 01406 704369, and if we don't answer we're on a roof: leave a message and we'll call back.

  • Lincoln, Lincolnshire

If water is coming into your house in Lincoln, ring 01406 704369 at whatever hour it is. Making a roof safe does not wait for a survey, and on the terraces it does not wait for a conversation with the neighbours either.

What we come out for

  • Slates off or hanging, and ridge tiles worked loose
  • Water through a ceiling or running down a chimney breast
  • A valley gutter between two houses overflowing into both
  • Lead flashing lifted at a shared stack or a party wall
  • Anything loose above a pavement or a parked car

The valley between terraced houses is the one that catches people out here. It fills, it backs up, and the water goes into both roofs at once, so two households discover it on the same night. It reads as a failed roof from indoors and is often a blockage.

Safe first, and honest about what comes next

We stop the water and make anything unsafe secure, then photograph what we found and show you. The permanent repair is quoted in writing afterwards. If your property is listed or in the conservation area, an emergency make-safe is still fine, but the permanent repair may need consent, and we will tell you that at the time rather than quietly do something that has to be undone.

Insured and guaranteed either way

Emergency work carries the same five or ten year guarantee as any other job depending on the work, with public liability and employer's liability insurance throughout.

  • Phone answered day or night
  • Guaranteed for five or ten years depending on the work
  • Public liability and employer's liability insurance on every job

What people say

In their words, not ours

One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.

Before you ring

Emergency Roof Repairs in Lincoln: common questions

It is leaking into next door as well. Who do you deal with?

Whoever rings, and we will happily show both households the same photographs. A shared valley or stack is one repair, and it is cheaper and better done as one job than as two halves.

Our house is listed and it is leaking now. What can you do tonight?

Make it safe and stop the water, which does not need consent. The permanent repair is a separate conversation and we will tell you what it needs before it is quoted.

Is the phone really answered at night?

Yes, day and night. If nobody picks up we are up a roof, so leave a message and you will get a call straight back.

What should I do while I wait?

Get a container under the drip, move what you can, and switch off electrics in that room if water is near a light or socket. Do not go up on the roof yourself.
