Roofing in Fleet Hargate
EverCrest Property Care Ltd covers Fleet Hargate and the villages around it. Tell us what needs doing and we will come and look at it.
Fleet Hargate sits just off the A17 beside Holbeach, in Fleet parish, and it is one of the quickest places on our books to reach: minutes from base, no more. That matters most when water is already coming through a ceiling and every hour counts.
Older cottages beside modern infill
The village mixes older cottages with modern infill, which means two very different kinds of roof standing shoulder to shoulder. The cottages tend to show their age in the traditional ways: a tile slipped out of line, mortar the fen weather has been chewing at, flashing that needs renewing rather than patching. The newer builds fail differently, with cracked verge caps, tired felt at the eaves and gutters pulling away from the fascia. We look after both in Fleet Hargate, along with moss removal, chimney repairs and full re-roofs where a roof is genuinely past saving, and we will tell you plainly which side of that line yours sits on.
Our way of working in Fleet Hargate
We do not ask you to take anything on trust. We come out, climb up and photograph the roof, then go through what the pictures show with you on the ground. You get a straight explanation, a free quote in writing and time to think it over: no pressure, no upselling. If you go ahead, we tell you when the scaffolding, skip and materials will arrive so there are no surprises in the drive. Every job is insured and guaranteed for a minimum of five years.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
