Re-roofing and new roofs in Fleet Hargate
Full re-roofs and new roofs, tiled and slate, with honest advice first about whether you actually need one.
There comes a point where patching a tired roof is money down the drain, and the honest answer is a re-roof. We do full re-roofs and new roofs, tiled and slate, and if your roof in Fleet Hargate has reached that point we will say so plainly, with photographs to back it up.
When a repair stops making sense
If you are calling a roofer back every winter for another slipped tile, or the felt underneath has gone brittle and torn, the roof is telling you something. We come out, look properly, and photograph what we find so you can see it too. If a repair will genuinely do, that is what we will recommend. If it will not, we will explain why, and you make the decision with a free written quote in your hand rather than a hard sell on the doorstep.
What goes into one of our re-roofs
On a recent full re-roof we stripped back to the timbers and rebuilt with Proctor Air breathable membrane, treated battens, anthracite interlocking tiles and a dry-fix ridge and hip system, so there is no mortar up there to crack and wash out. The chimney got new lead soakers, step flashing, an apron and a back gutter, and the job was finished with new guttering and downpipes. On one of our full re-roofs, an independent Building Control inspector from Boston Borough Council checked the work twice and signed it off.
A roof that suits the house
Fleet Hargate has older cottages sitting alongside modern infill, and a new roof should suit the house it lands on. We talk the tile options through with you at the quote stage, so the finished roof looks right for the street as well as keeping the weather out for good. Every re-roof is guaranteed for 25 years, we carry public liability and employer's liability insurance, and before work starts you are told when the scaffolding, the skip and the materials will arrive. Nothing about a re-roof in Fleet Hargate should come as a surprise, and with us it will not.

What people say
In their words, not ours
One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.
Brilliant work! Reasonable price a friendly. Recommend to anyone. Sorted out my roof after 3 companies turned me down.
Amazing roof repair everything finished to a high standard, good communication and reasonable priced would definetly recommend.

Re-Roofing & New Roofs in Fleet Hargate: common questions
What does a new roof cost in Fleet Hargate?
Every roof is different in size, shape and tile, so a figure plucked from the air would be fiction. We come and measure, talk through the options and give you a free quote in writing. The price on that paper is the price you pay.
Can you re-roof an older cottage without it looking wrong?
Yes. Tile choice is part of the conversation at the quote stage, and the aim is a roof that suits the house and the street, not just the first thing on the lorry.
Who checks that the work is done properly?
On one of our full re-roofs an independent Building Control inspector from Boston Borough Council examined the job twice and signed it off. Every re-roof also carries our 25 year guarantee.
How will we know when the work is starting?
Before anything begins you are told when the scaffolding, the skip and the materials are arriving. No surprises, no pressure, and no upselling once we are up there.
