Flat roofing in Pinchbeck

Garage, porch and extension flat roofs repaired or replaced, including rubber flat roofs. We look for free and quote in writing.

  • Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire

Flat roofs fail quietly. The felt on a garage or porch blisters, cracks at the edges and ponds after rain, and then one wet week the ceiling below lets you know. Around the estates of Pinchbeck, where garages, porches and extensions all wear flat roofs, that is one of the most common calls a roofer gets.

Rubber roofs built to be forgotten

For replacements we fit rubber flat roofs. Rubber stays flexible through frost and heat instead of going brittle the way old felt does, so it sits there quietly doing its job for years. One rubber roof in our gallery was finished around a lantern rooflight, proof that a flat roof does not have to mean a dark room underneath it.

Garages, porches and extensions

Most of the flat roofs in Pinchbeck are not grand: a garage beside an estate house, a porch over a front door, a kitchen extension out the back. Small roofs still deserve proper work. One customer had a garage flat roof replaced alongside a full roof replacement on the house, and both got the same care. If a flat roof drains to a gutter we check that too, because a new roof draining into a failed gutter has not solved anything.

Repair or replace, told straight

Not every tired flat roof needs stripping. Sometimes an edge detail or a split can be sorted and the roof has years left in it; sometimes replacement is the honest answer, because patching would only buy months. We come and look for free, photograph what we find so you can see the state of it yourself, and put our recommendation and price in writing. Pinchbeck is about ten minutes from our base, so getting a look at a suspect flat roof is no trouble at all, and the work we do is guaranteed for 10 years.

What people say

In their words, not ours

One of the problems of finding a roofer when you are an older person is the thought of being scammed, especially given the increasing numbers of rogue traders together with the high costs at stake especially if the work is poor or non existent. We trawled a lot of roofers and found varying prices and limited experience and ‘one man bands’ offering little or no guarantees for their work. We came across Fred’s newly formed EverCrest Property Care Ltd Company and were initially concerned at the limited 3 months or so that they had been trading for, albeit that Fred had been a Sole Trader for some 6 years. So we undertook a ‘due diligence’ on the company and found they had worked on a limited number of roofing projects in the start up time. However having had a number of positive conversations with Fred we decided to give his company a chance having had a very good response and price to our required specification that formed the basis of our Building Control Application through Boston Borough Council. They say you can only make a first impression once and EverCrest Property Care Ltd certainly made an excellent impression indeed, in fact the work they undertook was first class and our Building Control Inspector was equally impressed with the standard of works they carried out. Our project involved replacing a main roof on a detached property and likewise on a kitchen extension. Work commenced on a Friday with the scaffolding being erected along with the delivery of two skips. On the Monday morning around 8:30am a team of 7 arrived on site and by 10am both roofs had been stripped and the Building Inspector was called early to check out the structure prior to the roofers installing the new insulation, membrane and battening in readiness for the new soffits, guttering and tiles being installed from Tuesday onwards. By Thursday the project had been completed and the Building Inspector returned first thing Friday morning and signed off the work having been impressed with the finished work. On the basis of the above experience we would have no hesitation in recommending EverCrest Property Care Ltd as a suitable and very experienced roofing contractor and would be happy to give any references to their standard of works.

Flat Roofing in Pinchbeck: common questions

What should a flat roof replacement cost?

Less than some quotes and more than others is the honest answer, because size, build-up and access change everything. We measure up for free and give you a fixed price in writing. What we quote is what you pay, and customers mention that unprompted in their reviews.

My garage roof leaks but it is only storage in there. Can it wait?

It can, but water does not stay in the garage. It rots timber, ruins whatever you keep in there, and where a garage joins the house it can track indoors too. A look costs nothing, so it is worth knowing how bad it is before winter.

Do you fit rubber flat roofs in Pinchbeck?

Yes. We fit rubber flat roofs on garages, porches and extensions, including one finished around a lantern rooflight to bring daylight into the room below.

Is Pinchbeck in your patch?

Very much so. We are based in Spalding and Pinchbeck sits right on the northern edge of town, about ten minutes from us, so it is one of the easiest places for us to reach.
