For existing felt roofs, we assess whether repair or replacement is more cost-effective. Small punctures and tears can be patched. Widespread cracking, blistering, or age degradation means replacement is the better investment.

How long does felt roofing last?

Modern torch-on felt: 10-15 years. Older pour-and-roll felt: 5-10 years. Lifespan depends on installation quality, UV exposure, and maintenance.

Is felt roofing still a good choice?

For garages and outbuildings, yes — it's cost-effective and functional. For main roof extensions, EPDM or GRP offer better longevity and value.
